Sisterhood

Nothing is more important to the sisters of Chi Omega than sisterhood. Our sisters come to UNCG to find a group of girls who share the same values as them. They find that here in Chi Omega. From chapter-wide retreats to movie nights in the Chapter Room, sisterhood in Chi Omega is fostered in every sense of the word. Chi Omega sisters are more than just college friends; they’re a loving shoulder to lean on, a personalized safety net, and a permanent source of light for one another to be inspired by. Sisterhood is a lifelong relationship that begins instantly from those exciting moments on Bid Day. Our chapter is founded on the Chi Omega Symphony, which epitomizes a true Chi Omega woman:

"To live constantly above snobbery of word or deed; to place scholarship before social obligations and character before appearances; to be, in the best sense, democratic rather than ‘exclusive’, and lovable rather than ‘popular’; to work earnestly, to speak kindly, to act sincerely, to choose thoughtfully that course which occasion and conscience demand; to be womanly always; to be discouraged never; in a word, to be loyal under any and all circumstances to my Fraternity and her highest teachings and to have her welfare ever at heart that she may be a symphony of high purpose and helpfulness in which there is no discordant note."

Chi Omega stands apart because we are a group of real, driven, inspiring women who are comfortable with each other just as we are. We all come from different places, cultures and backgrounds and have different talents, interests and hobbies. What binds us together is our shared values and love for Chi Omega.
